Mail-in pipette calibration services from Transcat Pipettes ensure customers nationwide receive the highest measurement assurance throughout the calibration lifecycle. Whether you require the predictability of knowing exactly when your pipettes are serviced or your schedule has some flexibility, you have options to choose the service that best meets your turnaround time requirements: Pre-Scheduled, Unscheduled, and First-on-Bench Expedited Service.

Scheduled Pipette Service – 3 to 5-Day Turnaround

For predictability your operations can rely on, our team offers a nationwide pre-scheduled calibration service. With our pre-scheduled service option, we commit to a 5-day turnaround time from the day your units are received to the day we ship them back to your facility. Simply schedule and arrange your pipette calibrations with our team, and you can count on receiving your equipment back by a specific date.

All pipette packages must be received by our facility 24 hours in advance of your reserved service date, and reusable custom protective packaging is available upon request for an additional fee. A minimum quantity of 10 pipettes is required to schedule service, and any pipettes submitted in excess of the scheduled amount will be subject to our normal, unscheduled service queue.

How to pre-schedule your pipette service:

  • Pre-schedule work with our team by filling out our Service Request form here. Customers may also contact our Scheduling Team at pipettescheduling@transcat.com or by phone at 800-242-6022.
  • Set up a purchase order or credit card (can also be done at the time of service); to avoid any delay in service, please have payment ready.
  • Decontaminate the pipettes as instructed here.
  • Send in your pipette calibrations and receive them back by a specific date or earlier (depending upon lab capacity). Pipettes must arrive on the pre-arranged date otherwise the pipettes will fall into the unscheduled queue.

Unscheduled Pipette Service

If an expected return date is not a concern, consider sending in unscheduled pipettes to add them to our service queue. Services are provided on a first-in, first-out basis, with turnaround times ranging from 7-10 days. This option is ideal if you want to keep the process simple and your pipettes are ready to send in. As with all our services, we recommend you send in a batch of pipettes at a time, so your lab is never without the instruments you need.

How to send in pipettes for unscheduled service:

  • No need to schedule the service; simply complete a service form.
  • Decontaminate the pipettes as instructed here
  • Send them in along with a paper copy of the completed service form you will receive via email.

On-Site Pipette Calibration Services

If you are unable to send in your equipment due to circumstances such as the need to avoid contamination, if you work with viruses, or are required to perform onsite calibrations per SOP, we’re happy to provide on-site pipette calibration services. With on-site pipette and liquid handling calibration services, you receive maximum flexibility with our expertly trained technicians dispatched to your location. We offer nationwide coverage with flexible service options in all industries, including life sciences, academic, research, forensics, and more. This option is subject to our normal service queue operations and technician availability.
